Sarlat-la-Canéda is a half-hour drive from Gourdon, the capital of the Dordogne with its historic center and lively regional market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are many beautiful places around Gourdon. To the east lies the “Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy”, with the famous towns of Rocamadour and Saint Cirq-Lapopie. To the south lies the famous town of Cahors, known for its robust wines.
